Miaomiao Zhu is a postdoctoral fellow in the Institute of Brain Science and Education Innovation at East China Normal University. She received her Ph.D. and Master degree in Cognitive Neuroscience from East China Normal University. Her research focuses on the development of executive functions and their effects on language processing using task fMRI, dMRI, MRS as well as behavioral assessment. She also investigated the relationship between language production, spatial attention and inhibition control from the perspective of hemispheric asymmetries.

Research Interests

Using behavioral, fMRI and MRS methods, I am mainly interested in the following fields:

  1. The development of executive control functions and language processing
  2. Cognitive and neural mechanism underlying functional lateralization
